Phillip Island!

Phillip Island Camp was a breathtaking experience. We all had an amazing time there. I know for a fact I am really going to miss it.

The weather was fantastic, the activities were amazing and most of all the wild life there were remarkable. The animals weren’t like the animals you got to see at home. There was beautiful geese and amazing birds we were also lucky to see a nest on the floor with three eggs and one baby bird.

The first thing we did when we got to the island was to go see the pelican feeding. The pelicans were huge! Their beaks were huge too. Then this lady taught us about when the pelicans came and how long they have been there for. The lady fed the pelicans and it was stunning seeing them being fed. How they gobbled down was cool I’ve never seen an animal eat fish so fast.

After the pelican feeding we ate our snack then we headed off to camp. On our way to camp we so beautiful farms with horses and cows. When we arrived at camp we had an introduction on what we should and shouldn’t do and a brief introduction about the activities. They then showed us our cabins and where we go for our meals.

Later on, we got sorted into our cabins, then we got ready for our activities. Everyone was placed into five groups that the teachers selected and got started on our activities one of my favourite activities were the Circotron and the Giant Swing. When we finished our activities, we went to have dinner later we had free time to get ready and take a shower for the campfire. It was so cool! The stars were so beautiful that night. We toasted our marshmallows on the fire. I had help from the teacher because the fire was massive. I could feel the heat against my face. Mr Oner had his star map app and we got to see the Milky Way and the planets and some more constellations it was a very magnificent night!

On our last night for camp we got to watch a movie with everyone. The movie was so heart melting, with so many unexpected turns which made the movie unpredictable. We were all very cosy. We all had a wonderful time at Phillip island camp. I really hope we get to go back there soon.
